Cannes Film Festival 2025: The Nordic Red Carpet for « Sentimental Value » Closes the Evening

This Wednesday, May 21st, during the red carpet for the feature film « Sentimental Value, » actress Elle Fanning caused a sensation at the Palais des Festivals. The actress walked the steps alongside the cast and crew of the film, including Inga Ibsdotter, Renate Reinsve, Anders Danielsen, and Stellan Skarsgård.

In Sentimental Value, Joachim Trier, who has expanded his cast to include other well-known faces, now decides to film an entire family. Norwegian director Joachim Trier presents a family story featuring an elderly film director who tries to reconnect with his two daughters by offering one of them a role in his next film. But she refuses, so the role is given to a young Hollywood star, reviving painful family memories.
He decided to shoot a film in the family home, which is central to the narrative, as a witness to what has been going on there for several generations.

The film is a dramatic comedy that could win an award for acting, screenplay, or even the Palme d’Or.
