The 78th Cannes Film Festival once again provided a memorable evening, marked by the dazzling presence of Marine Fois and Roschdy Zem. The two actors, iconic figures of French cinema, captivated the attention of photographers and fans alike during the presentation of their latest film, « 13 Days, 13 Nights. »

The Cannes red carpet, a true symbol of glamour and cinematic artistry, was once again illuminated by the magic of these two artists. Their presence not only enhanced the event but also served as a reminder of the importance of cinema in French and global culture.

Martin Bourboulon’s film was inspired this time by the novel 13 Days, 13 Nights. In the Hell of Kabul (Denoël, 2022). In this book, Commander Mohamed Bida, assigned to the French Embassy in Afghanistan in 2016, recounts the operation during which several hundred people seeking to flee Kabul were evacuated to the airport after the Taliban seized power on August 15, 2021. This extremely dangerous operation is depicted in 13 Days 13 Nights, presented out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday, May 23.

A spectacular film with palpable tension, carried by its two leads, Roschdy Zem and Lyna Khoudri. On Friday evening, Mohamed Bida was in the theater and made no secret of his emotion at seeing his act of bravery portrayed so powerfully on screen. Released in theaters on June 27.
