Bekar performed in concert in Agde, Place de la Marine on August 21. Bekar is a group of musicians offering a sound imprinted by Klezmer music.
Bekar sings songs in French and Yiddish, their music is influenced by different musical currents (pop, rock, funk) ranging from Prince, David Krakauer to Rita Mitsouko.
Bekar has been able to set the mood and the public couldn’t resist dancing so much the style was festive, cheerful and warm. Bekar takes his audience in a swirling dance and the joy reads on his faces. This Klezmer musicality invites you to travel to another world, more beautiful, lighter, happier.
The group consists of Benjamin Bousquet, sound engineer, Santiago Courty on drums, Jean-Philippe Cazenove on bass, Thibault Roche on clarinet, Quentin Treuer on piano and keyboards.
As for Bekar, he composes, sings and plays the piano.
Thibault Roche, Jean-Philippe Cazenove and Mélina Schneider assure the choirs in the group.
