Anti-racism protests held in Paris and nationwide

Demonstrators march in Paris and other cities in France against racism and social injustice.

Protests against racism and fascism are being organised in France and in more than a hundred cities on Saturday, marking the International Day against Racism and Fascism.

In Paris, demonstrators are expected to march from Place de la Nation to Place de la République via the Parc de Belleville.

Organisations highlight social and human rights concerns

Activist groups including Marche des Solidarités have called for mobilisation against racism, fascism and police violence. The initiative has received support from organisations such as Solidaires and Attac.

Associations representing families of people who died during police interventions are also expected to participate, according to the Réseau entraide vérité et justice.

Part of a wider international mobilisation

Organisers say the demonstrations aim to draw attention to discrimination, migration challenges and broader human rights issues affecting societies worldwide.
