Stop the Impunity of Livestock Professionals, demand the banning of animal fur in this store.
The Collective’s activists demonstrated on November 2 in front of the Galeries Lafayette in Paris to demand the banning of animal fur in this store that continues to sell fur products despite its values displayed in its public communications (ecology and progressivism).
They affirm that they will only end their actions when they have obtained a public declaration of adoption of an anti-fur policy in all companies of the Galeries Lafayette group.
They questioned its president, Mr. Nicolas Houzé, about a study that, according to them, would highlight the detection of 125 viruses in fur farms, several of which can be transmitted to other species.
This protest is part of the international pressure campaign launched in 2023 demanding that MAX MARA commit to adopting an anti-fur policy.
Despite the hundred or so protests in dozens of cities in Europe and the United States, in front of stores and headquarters belonging to the group, MAX MARA continues to refuse to give up fur, (stores owned by Max Mara: Sportmax, Max & Co, Pennyblack, Marina Rinaldi, Persona by Marina Rinaldi, Marell, iBlues, Intrend).
Previous pressure campaigns have succeeded with major brands such as St Laurent, Moncler and Oscar de La Renta who have definitively abandoned fur.
Faux fur is preferred by people who benefit from its lighter weight, its lack of odor and allergy, its ease of maintenance as well as its lower price.
While wealthy lovers of real fur are sensitive to the sensual touch of this living material, a cuddly toy which, moreover, keeps you warmer in winter.
Are we heading towards a global abolition of fur?
