As in previous weeks, nearly 200 events throughout France including 4 gatherings in Paris.

With 121,000 demonstrators throughout France, including 19,000 in Paris, the number of participants fell further. The government has yet decided to lift its implementation in shopping centers in Paris. However, arrests have increased, a total of 76 out of the 207 processions recorded. Last week, there were 142,000 people in all the processions.

Parisian events

There were 4 demonstrations “Yellow Vests” in the capital on this 9th Saturday of demonstrations. The most important was that of the “Yellow Vests” where Jérôme Rodriguez was. It left from Place Wagram (75017) to reach the Royal Palace (75001).

The second, “Tous en blanc” left Place Pierre Laroque (75007) in the direction of the Royal Palace. Like the previous week, the former “Yellow Vest” Sébastien Philippart gathered his supporters for a march towards the Royal Palace.

Initiated by Faouzi Lellouche (ex “Gilet Jaune” and organizer of the strong Parisian mobilisations), the 4th started from place de Breteuil (75007) around 12 noon to go to the side of the Place du Palais-Royal (75001).

Exchanges between the police and demonstrators took place following the desire of certain demonstrators to go to the Champs Elysées. Tear gas was fired to disperse the crowd. Other incidents around the main boulevards. Water cannons and a large deployed device.

The “Patriots” marched between the Place du Paraguay, Porte Dauphine (75016).

Finally “The Last Rampart” and Hadama Traoré called for a meeting at Place Wagram. In total, the police counted 19,000 participants.

“Yellow Vests” event

Like the previous week, the “Yellow Vests” organized several parades. The most important left from Place Wagram (75017) at 1 p.m. in the direction of the Council of State. The second left Place Chaban-Delmas (75015) around 12 noon to also join the Royal Palace (75001). This week, the watchword was “Tous à Paris”.

This parade saw clashes with the police, practically from the start. Around noon, demonstrators attacked the police, Place de Wagram, before a rapid dispersal. The parade finally left at 2 pm in the presence of Oliv Oliv, another figure of the “Yellow Vests”, present last week in the parade in Tours. Jérôme Rodriguez, meanwhile, harangues the crowd, holding in hand a sign “QAnon friendly” save the children.

Demonstration of the “Patriots”

For their part, Florian Philippot’s “Patriotes” had an appointment at Place du Paraguay, Porte Dauphine (75016) to finish at Place du Trocadéro (75016). This week, the purpose of the parade was to support caregivers, doctors, firefighters and everyone else. Eighteen months ago, everyone applauded, cheered and thanked them for their dedication. Today, they want the freedom to choose because they are forced to be vaccinated, which is not to everyone’s liking.

At the end of the parade, the leaders were able to speak, including Florian Philippot and Fabrice Di Vizio, lawyer in public health law. It is the basis of several complaints against the government.

On Saturday September 18, an appointment is set at the Trocadéro for a new mobilization against the health pass and the vaccination obligation for caregivers which comes into force on September 15.

“Tous en Blanc” event

The Citizen’s Union for Freedom, the Force Jaune association (yellow vests) demonstrated with caregivers and health workers and the Free Firefighters movement. Leaving from Place Pierre Laroque (75007), near the Ministry of Health, around 2 p.m., they reached Place Denfert Rochereau (75014).

Event “Le Denier Rempart”

For his part, Hadama Traoré, leader of the “The Last Rampart” movement, had called for a rally at Place Wagram in Paris (75017).

This “new kid” in the anti-pass demonstrations comes from the Cité des 3,000 in Aulnay-sous-Bois (93) and has a sulphurous past. He defines himself as a “neighborhood guy”, an “ex-delinquent”, a “revolutionary” or even as a “suburban black”.

In 2017, he launched the citizen collective “La Révolution est en marche”. A good speaker, he is at the head of mobilizations in front of CNews, the Alliance police union or the Ministry of the Interior. He then had problems with the justice system in 2019. The justice sentenced him to a suspended sentence for threats against the mayor of Aulnay. He is the author of the call for a rally to restore the truth about Mikaël Harpon, murderer of 4 police officers at the prefecture. The demonstration is prohibited and Hadama Traoré taken into custody following threats. In his fight against the pass, he has the support of “Yellow Vests” including that of Oliv Oliv.

On September 11, at the end of the morning, he was arrested by the police. It seems that the police took him to task but it is not known why.

In the provinces

The demonstrators were 1,200 in Strasbourg, 1,700 in Rennes and Vannes, more than 2,000 in Lyon, 3,000 in Montpellier or Nice, 2,500 in Toulon and almost as many in Bordeaux. Figures down compared to previous Saturdays.

In Toulouse, nearly 1,200 people marched. At the start of the demonstration, a dozen individuals attacked demonstrators, including yellow vests, with bars. We deplore a few injuries. The police dispersed the attackers who fled. The antivax denounces an action “of fascists of the extreme right”.

In Monaco, the anti-pass marched for the third time in a week, an extremely rare thing. Several hundred people in the streets of the principality to protest against the health measures taken by their government.

In Valence, released from prison in the morning, Damien Tarel, who had slapped Emmanuel Macron, participated in the demonstration.

In Montpellier, demonstrations were banned in the city center but clashes broke out.

Whether in the provinces or in the capital, we are still awaiting mobilizations on September 18.
